Dr. Hirohisa Shimura, CFA, CPA will present on the current situation on the US healthcare reform, “Obamacare Today - Implications to the US federal deficits and healthcare industries.” Dr. Shimura will introduce a fiscal urgency of healthcare reform due to its demographic issue among developed nations and focus on the current situation on the US healthcare reform. Dr. Shimura discusses a brief description of the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) and its implication to the US federal deficit and the healthcare industry. From the health economic point of view, the US government continues to face financing challenges despite its Obamacare implementation. Among the healthcare industry, only a handful of companies are able to sustain its growth.
